This is the best of the season. It is a long ride from Scranton. But it is well worth it. The prices are a little high but it is worth it. The food is great especially Top of the Beef and McCormack's soup. Hundreds of food vendors. Great shows including many free shows. Rides and games for the children and adults. Fun for a day, or come more than once. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend again. Because I walk with a cane and all the walking is not an option. Also the half mile walk in the parking lot is not going to happen. I love the fair and used to go every year. But because I cannot handle all the walking. I will have to watch the highlights on channel 16 again. Be sure to go to the fair because it is great.

Berwick Riverfest is nestled along the beautiful Susquehanna River, in Berwick Pennsylvania and is always held the second weekend of October. The event, held at the historic Test Track Park was created to give back the the wonderful people of Pennsylvania offering the nostalgic feel of plenty of free parking and always free admission. Nearly 50,000 people attend the three day event enjoying two stages, over 150 food and craft vendors, rides for the kids and many free shows. Berwick Riverfest is truly "One Of The Finest Fall Festivals In Pennsylvania". This is an excellent last picnic of the season. The food is great. The entertainment is good. It is a longer ride from Scranton but is well worth it. I went to this event 4 times. It is like a mini Bloomsburg Fair but is much easier to walk. Try to make it if you are able.
